What does the CE mark mean?

What is the SYLOR CE mark based on??

From now on, the E.U. legally demands that all windows and doors produced or sold must be escorted by a marking (usually a label or sticker) offering valuable product technical information to the consumer. With this new CE marking, the consumer is able to easily compare and contrast the performances of different windows and doors, with regards to the following technical characteristics:

With the new CE marking, and a basic understanding of the technical characteristics that affect window and door performance, the consumer is now able to assess the product in detail, assess its quality and compare products of various producers.

The SYLOR CE mark is based on many years of laboratory testing in specialized German institutes. Each parameter examined by the mark has been obtained following detailed study and formal assessment of the product in specialized, German window technology Institutes.

Years of devoted Research and Development have lead to the completion of a total of 4 groups of laboratory tests, certifying all the aspects of the product and with particular regard to 1) Water-tightness 2) Resistance to windload 3) Durability of Varnishing 4) Sound and thermal insulation. SYLOR windows and terrace doors have also been examined under extreme storm-simulating conditions, resisting wind velocities of up to 200 kph.

We at SYLOR believe that the only way to have a meaningful CE marking is to perform scrupulous laboratory tests on the product at international well-established technology institutes.
